It's a fair exchange: you can't only take coaching practice — you give coachee time too. Credits keep it balanced.

Create an account and tell peers about your coaching and the level you're working toward.

Add your ICF credential or training certificate. An admin reviews it — once approved, you're a verified coach.

Earn credits as a coachee
Get coached by a peer. Every confirmed half-hour you receive earns you that much credit. New verified coaches also get a 3-hour welcome credit to start.

Use your credit balance to book yourself as the coach on someone else's session — and log the practice hours you need.

After a session, both people confirm it happened. Only then do credits transfer and the session is logged. No-shows cost nothing.
Who we are
CoachConnection is built by the Institute of Coaching Studies, a community dedicated to training and supporting coaches on the path to their ICF credentials.
We created this platform to solve a problem every coach-in-training knows well: finding enough quality practice hours. By pairing coaches to practise on each other — and keeping the exchange fair with a simple credit system — we make it easy to give and receive coaching, build real hours, and grow alongside a community of peers.
Frequently asked questions
How do credits work?
Credits are measured in hours, in half-hour steps. Being a coachee earns credit; being the coach spends it. A 90-minute session moves 1.5 credit-hours from coach to coachee.
How do I start if I have no credits?
Two ways: get coached by a peer (you earn credit for it), and — once your certificate is verified — you receive a 3-hour welcome credit so you can coach right away.
Do I need a certificate to use the platform?
You can sign up and be a coachee without one. To appear in the directory and coach others, an admin needs to verify a credential or training certificate you upload.
Where do sessions happen?
You meet over your own video tool (Zoom, Meet, phone). CoachConnection handles finding each other, agreeing a time, holding the meeting link, and confirming the session.
When do credits actually transfer?
Only after both people confirm the session took place. If someone doesn't show, no credits move.
Is it free?
Yes — CoachConnection is free. The credit system is the only currency.
